ABOUT Georgia Tapert

Georgia Tapert, former design assistant to David Easton, Haynes-Roberts and Mica Ertegun (MACII),  recently opened Georgia Tapert Living, a new home accessories and antique store on New York City’s Broome Street. Georgia’s comprehensive background in design and her extensive travel inspired her to research and collect items from across Europe, India, Asia and South America. Georgia Tapert Living incorporates a unique blend of furniture, art, objects and tabletop accessories that range from stylistically traditional to contemporary and whimsical. The store, with its wide range of products and price points, is reflective of Georgia Tapert’s belief that design has no boundaries or rules – the mix of styles, periods and products demonstrates Georgia’s “take” on design as being an expression of one’s individuality. Georgia Tapert says, “My vision for the store was to create a destination where people could furnish their entire home on a very personal level. I want clients to think of our shop as the ultimate source for home accessories - a place where they will always find one-of-a-kind pieces, whether it be for their own home, a wedding gift, a house warming present or a holiday gift.”
